Overage is agreed, never applied. Anything beyond the included minutes is quoted first or billed at $75/hr in 30-minute increments. If you are asking for changes most months, the CMS tier or the CMS add-on costs you less than the overage will — and being told that is the point of publishing the rate.

An unstated boundary gets discovered as a disappointment.
So here are the four things care does not cover. None of them is a surprise once written down, which is the entire reason to write them down.
- New pages or a redesign — those are quoted separately.
- Bulk content entry beyond the included minutes.
- SEO work, which is its own set of packages.
- Your domain registration fee, which is paid by you, to your registrar, in your name.
Questions about hosting and care
- What am I actually paying $50 a month for?
- Hosting and the server it runs on, SSL certificate renewal, deployment of changes, uptime checking, security patching of the framework behind the site, backups, and up to 15 minutes of minor assistance. Most of it is work you only notice when it stops — which is exactly why it is itemised on this page rather than described as 'support'.
- Can I host the site myself instead?
- Yes. It is your website. A copy of the built site is provided on request, your domain is already in your own name, and you are free to put it on any host you like. You would then be responsible for certificates, deployments, patching and backups yourself. Plenty of people are happy to do that, and it is a perfectly reasonable choice.
- Is there a contract or a minimum term?
- No minimum term. Care is billed monthly and can be cancelled with a month's notice either way, so nothing goes dark unannounced. An arrangement that only survives because leaving is painful is not one worth having.
- What happens if I cancel?
- You get a copy of the built site and an export of your content and enquiry data, and your domain stays exactly where it is — in your name, in your account. We remove ourselves from your Business Profile, analytics and Search Console so the history stays with you.
- What if I need more than the included time?
- Work beyond the included minutes is quoted, or billed at $75/hr in 30-minute increments — agreed in advance, never applied as a surprise on an invoice. If you find yourself asking for changes most months, the CMS tier or the CMS add-on will cost you less than the overage will.
- Do I still need this if my site is just one page?
- You need hosting and a certificate regardless — those are not optional for any site that exists. The question is only whether you would rather manage them yourself. A one-page site on the static tier is the cheapest way to have somebody else responsible for it.
Care starts when your site goes live, not before.
